TICKETS ON SALE WEDNESDAY AT 10 A.M. FOR WHALE AT BEAUTS PLAY-IN GAME ON MARCH 6

The Isobel Cup Play-In Game between the Buffalo Beauts and Connecticut Whale is on Friday, March 6 at 8:30 p.m., and tickets go on sale this Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. at nwhl.zone/tickets.

The No. 4 Beauts will host the fifth-seeded Whale at Northtown Center at Amherst. The winner of the Play-In Game will face the regular season champions, the Boston Pride, on Sunday, March 8 at Warrior Ice Arena in Boston.

Expect a tense showdown between two teams fighting for a shot to battle the Pride two days later. Buffalo is captained by all-time NWHLer Corinne Buie, and also led by forward Taylor Accursi, who has 16 goals in 22 games this season, and rookie defender Marie Jo-Pelletier, who is 6-15-21 in 22 games.

The Whale captain is five-year NWHL defender Shannon Doyle, who leads the league this season in blocked shots, and the team has received superb goaltending of late from rookie Brooke Wolejko. Emma Vlasic leads Connecticut with 9 goals.
