Beauts Sign Klimášová for the Remainder of the Season
BUFFALO – The Buffalo Beauts have announced that they have signed forward Iveta Klimášová for the remainder of the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season. Klimášová appeared in both the Beauts’ Jan. 14 and Jan. 15 road games against the Boston Pride while playing on professional tryout offers. Details of the contract are not being disclosed.
“The Beauts are really glad to have Iveta on the team’s official roster,” said Beauts GM Nate Oliver. “Iveta truly earned this opportunity, as she has been putting in the work both on and off the ice since well before training camp. She works hard every shift and is strongly valued by her teammates.”
Klimášová initially tried out for the Beauts during the team’s June 18/19 free agent tryouts camp. The team proceeded to sign her as a practice player heading into the 2022-23 PHF season, and she has been part of all practices and team events since training camp began.
Klimášová previously played for the Beauts during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 PHF seasons. She is 3-15-18 in her 32 regular season PHF games – all spent with Buffalo. Klimášová shares the Beauts’ team record alongside Marie-Jo Pelletier for most assists in a single season with 15.
In addition to her time with the Beauts, the 25-year-old from Prakovce, Slovakia is a five-time member of the Slovakian Women’s National Team. Klimášová and former Beaut/Riveter Lenka Čurmová were the very first Slovakian players to play in the PHF when they debuted for the Beauts in Connecticut back on Oct. 5, 2019 against the Whale.
