Beauts Journey to Tulsa, OK for Double Header With Whitecaps

by BEAUTS MEDIA

BUFFALO – The Buffalo Beauts will be heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma to play an exhibition game against the Minnesota Whitecaps at the BOK Center on Saturday, April 2 at 4 pm CST. The game will be part of a doubleheader, along with the hometown Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL as they face the Allen Americans that same evening at 7:05 pm CST.

“This is something that has been in the makings for quite a while now, and is an event that our Beauts players are very excited about,” said Buffalo GM Nate Oliver. “It is an opportunity to get great exposure for the Beauts and for our league in a city that truly loves the game and has a tremendous fan base. The BOK Center is a beautiful arena and Tulsa fans are very passionate. For our players, it is a chance for them to have a little more time together, have some fun, and play in a city that none of them have previously been to before.”

Led by Andy Scurto and Neil Leibman, NLTT Hockey Ventures, LLC owns the Beauts, the Whitecaps, and the Oilers.

"We are excited to be able to showcase these two teams, and bring the women's game to a new market for the Tulsa Oilers fan base,” said Director of Hockey Operations for NLTT Hockey Ventures, LLC., Bobby Long. “The game will also be broadcast on Flowhockey.tv for free, and the link will be made available to both teams’ fan bases."

All players are being compensated for their participation in the exhibition game, and participation was voluntary. Both teams will be wearing specially designed jerseys for the game, which will then be auctioned off afterward through an online auction available for all of the teams’ fans. There will also be a skate with the Tulsa Jr. Oilers and other youth teams on Sunday morning before the Beauts and Whitecaps head home to their respective cities.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase our game and to continue ‘the show’ for all of our fans,” said Beauts goaltender Carly Jackson. “Another weekend together with my favorite people is something I couldn’t be happier for. It’s time for ‘Go Beauts, baby!’ in Tulsa!”
