Beauts Introduce New Mascot Bleu C. Beaut

by BEAUTS MEDIA

BUFFALO – The Buffalo Beauts have unveiled their new mascot today – Bleu C. Beaut, or simply “Bleu” for short. The name of the mascot was determined after collecting a wide variety of suggestions from the Buffalo fanbase. Camryn Fiorani was the initial Beauts fan to have suggested the name of Bleu C. Beaut. After additional fan voting determined that the name was one of the top choices, the organization made the final decision to go with Bleu C. Beaut as the official mascot.

“We are very proud to welcome Bleu to our Beauts roster,” said Beauts GM Nate Oliver. “A new mascot for the team was a long time coming, and it is particularly exciting that the Beauts fans helped determine the name. Obviously, Bleu’s name is representative of a commonality among Buffalonians and the manner of spelling shares similarities with the word ‘Beaut’. We love representing our city as best as we can – it’s why the Flag of Buffalo has long been part of the Beauts emblem and why the Seal of Buffalo is donned upon our jerseys as well. Naming ‘Bleu’ as our official mascot continues that affinity we have for always representing our city to our utmost.”

It is a well-known fact that Buffalonians have long preferred blue cheese (or bleu cheese) as the accoutrement to chicken wings, as opposed to ranch dressing and other toppings. Chicken wings were invented in Buffalo, New York in the 1960s with the city issuing an official declaration on July 29, 1977 to be Chicken Wing Day. Traditionally, chicken wings are served with small sticks of celery (accompanied sometimes with baby carrots or carrot sticks), and blue cheese dipping sauce on the side.

Bleu C. Beaut will be seen in action around Buffalo during this off-season and will be a fixture at all Buffalo Beauts home games during the upcoming 2023-24 Premier Hockey Federation season.
