Beauts and Hilbert Women’s Hockey Form Partnership
BUFFALO –The Buffalo Beauts announced today that they have formed a partnership with Hilbert College’s Women’s Hockey program. Hilbert College is an NCAA Division III school located in the Buffalo suburb of Hamburg, New York. The 2022-23 season will be Hilbert’s inaugural season for their women’s hockey program while the Beauts are heading into their eighth.
"The official partnership between the Buffalo Beauts and Hilbert College Women's Hockey is a massive accomplishment for our first-year hockey program,” said Hilbert head coach Cole Klubek. “As a team, we have tangible goals that are set out over time, but our players will benefit from this partnership right away which is exciting for any coach to be able to provide. To partner with the Buffalo Beauts certainly solidifies the mission of both programs to build up women's hockey in Western New York."
As part of the partnership between the two teams, Hilbert Women’s Hockey players will have the opportunity for internships and volunteer positions within the Beauts’ organization and for Beauts’ home games. The Beauts players and staff will be present for predetermined Hilbert home games and will partake in speaking engagements and seminars for the benefit of Hilbert’s players. Numerous other advertising and social media opportunities will be promoted by both teams for each other.
“A vital component within the culture of our Beauts organization is being involved in the community of Western New York,” said Beauts GM Nate Oliver. “We are extremely excited to have a brand-new NCAA women’s hockey program like Hilbert right in our own backyard. The Hilbert Hawks and the Beauts have similar philosophies and we both want to continue growing the women’s game in the Buffalo area. Hilbert has done an amazing job with onboarding their program and they have brought some very talented young players to the Greater Buffalo area.”
The Beauts and Hilbert already have one other commonality between the programs. Buffalo Beauts alum Maddie Norton was named an assistant coach to Klubek back on June 13. Norton played for the Beauts during the 2019-20 season. Both organizations hope that this is just one of many future connections between the two.
"I can't express enough just how exciting it is to partner with our local Premier Hockey Federation team, the Buffalo Beauts,” said Klubek. “While the Beauts skate towards their goal of bringing the Isobel Cup home to Buffalo, we'll be right there with them with the same commitment they bring to seeing us starting our NCAA DIII hockey program. Buffalo is definitely a hockey town and I highly encourage any and all hockey fans to come enjoy the Beauts and the Hawks playing this year!"
