All Individual Game Tickets Available Beginning Friday at 11am ET

Individual game tickets for the 2019-20 National Women Hockey’s League season will go on sale beginning this Friday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT at NWHL.zone/tickets.

For the first time in league history, each NWHL team will play 24 games in the regular season. This season also features the first-ever regular season outdoor game in NWHL history. On Saturday, Dec. 28, the Buffalo Believes Classic kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET at RiverWorks on the banks of the Buffalo River. This special event will sell out so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets soon.

A brief team-by-team look at some of the top games on the schedule…

BUFFALO BEAUTS

The Beauts will play their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11:30 a.m. against the Connecticut Whale. It will be Buffalo’s first game at their new home rink, the Northtown Center in Amherst. Three days after Christmas, the Beauts will pull on their toques and step on the ice to the host the Riveters in the Buffalo Believes Classic.

This year the Beauts roster is headlined by All-Star winger Corinne Buie, fan favorite Taylor Accursi, rookie forward Brooke Stacey, and Lenka Čurmová and Iveta Klimášová, the first Slovakian players in NWHL history.

MINNESOTA WHITECAPS

In their first NWHL season in 2018-19, the fans in the State of Hockey sold out every game at TRIA Rink. Whitecaps fans will want to order their tickets now so they do not get shut out.

Thus far, the defending Isobel Cup champion Whitecaps have re-signed more players from their 2018-19 roster than any other NWHL team. Amanda Leveille, Jonna Curtis, Amanda Boulier, and Allie Thunstrom are among the players who are back for a second season of NWHL hockey with the Whitecaps. They will be joined by newcomers Nicole Schammel from the University of Minnesota and Audra Richards, who scored eight goals in her rookie season with the Riveters.

The Whitecaps face the Riveters in their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m. CT. Two months after making their own trip to Amherst, the Whitecaps will host the Beauts in Minnesota on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 7:00 p.m. for a rematch of the 2019 Isobel Cup Final at the TRIA Rink.

BOSTON PRIDE

The Pride will begin the next chapter of their rivalry against the Buffalo Beauts in their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Warrior Ice Arena. The following week, the Pride will measure themselves against the visiting Whitecaps on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The Pride sold out all of their home games in 2019 after forming a partnership with the NHL’s Boston Bruins last January. They enter the 2019-20 season as one of the strongest clubs in the league, led by captain Jillian Dempsey, star defenders Kaleigh Fratkin and Lexi Bender, and decorated rookie goaltender Lovisa Selander.

METROPOLITAN RIVETERS

Four-time All-Star and NWHL icon Madison Packer leads a Riveters roster that is ripe with local talent. The Riveters’ roster also features Bulbul Kartanbay, the first Kazakh player in NWHL history, and Tatyana Shatalova, a member of the Russian women’s national team.

The Riveters play their home opener against the Pride on Oct. 5, at 4:30 p.m. That game will be the team’s first at ProSkate Ice Arena, their new home rink in Monmouth Junction, NJ. The Riveters will have to wait until Jan. 11 to host the Connecticut Whale, their closest geographical rival, in what will be their fifth home game of the season.

CONNECTICUT WHALE

The NWHL’s historic fifth season kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m. with the Whale’s home opener against the Beauts. That game will be the Whale’s first at Danbury Arena. On Sunday, Dec. 1 at 4:10 p.m., the Whale will host the Riveters in a rematch of last year’s play-in game for the 2019 Isobel Cup Playoffs.

The Whale’s roster features three defenders who have played in the NWHL since the league inaugural’s season: All-Star Shannon Doyle, Jordan Brickner, and Elena Orlando. Joining them are newcomers Kendra Broad and Erin Hall and St. Lawrence University goaltender Sonjia Shelly.
